A Science, its development follows the process given below;
Phenomenon ( Observation by the child ( Identification / Reasoning different probabilities of the observation ( Teacher connects the observation with existing theories, concepts, principles ( the text book developed.
Observation and Identification of its reasons developed science.
Hence observations lead to the development of science, which should be the logic of teaching science.
Not theories should be thought first and connecting to the observation
It is learning by the child, developing concepts, application of the same in different situation is important and expected than teaching. Hence the target should be learning by the child.
The text books, the activities explained in it, the junior science manual developed by KVS, different activities available in many science sites, which can be done within the class or outside the class individually or in group are to be identified by the teacher and the learner should be motivated to do it and experience the observation and its inference will help the child to develop scientific aptitude and interest in science.
The imagination and the skill of the teacher in the identification of activity suitable to different groups of children plays a vital role in developing science concepts.
Few model, Learner Achievement Test (LAT) were given, similar ones can be developed by the teacher.
At the end, each learner should be able to achieve the expected learning outcome of that class before the learner moves to a higher concept in a higher class.
